Kathy has been the manager of Sue Smith Vacations for the past 23 years. She has earned Specialist Certifications with over 15 different resort chains all over the Caribbean and Mexico, as well as Hawaii, Disney, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, and most recently her certification in Culinary Travel in Italy. She is also a preferred specialist in travel. For the past 17 years, she has escorted some amazing faith-based pilgrimages to Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Bavaria and Jordan.


Expert Bio
Kathy has 24 years in the travel business, with 22 of those years at Sue Smith Vacations. She has traveled extensively throughout Hawaii, to the Caribbean, Mexico, and Europe. Kathy has sent couples on dream honeymoons and has planned weddings in exotic destinations around the world.

My Recent Trips
In the last 9 months, I have escorted over 120 people on two pilgrimages to the Passion Play in Oberammergau, Germany and to the Shrines of Italy. In 2024, I am escorting a group on the to Fatima, Portugal and Spain where we will "Walk with the Saints" on the El Camino de Santiago and will be escorting a group to the Holy Land.

We have exciting trips in the works for 2024 and they will be announced soon!!!

"I've escorted Pilgrimages to Italy, Portugal, Mexico and France since 2007. My greatest thrill was seeing over 50 religious sites all over the world. I have seen Pope Benedict and Pope Francis in person; with both Popes I was close enough to shake hands and have my picture made with each of them. I have put together Catholic Pilgrimages to the Holy Land, Italy, Poland, Fatima, Lourdes, Germany and Mexico over the past 15 plus years. Our most current journey, will be to Oberammergau to see the Passion of Christ in 2022. I would love to have you join me on one of my Pilgrimages" -Kathy
